Project Workflow: What to Expect
Working with me is designed to be straightforward, transparent, and collaborative. Here’s a step-by-step overview of how your project will move from concept to completion:
1. Submit an Introduction
Start by reaching out through my client intake form, email, or book a 15 minute discovery call. Share as much detail as possible about your project(s) needs, goals, timelines, and budget.
What’s in it for you: A clear first step to kick off an introduction!
2. Intake Review and Quote
Once I receive your client intake, I’ll review the details and contact you with any questions. If starting a brand or logo design, or a web project, I will provide you with a questionnaire to gather more specifics. Once I have enough information to form a quote, you will be emailed a formal estimate and timeline. Before starting any project, we will require your written approval.
What’s in it for you: A detailed, no-surprise proposal outlining deliverables, costs, and turnaround times.
3. Deposit and Booking
If you approve the estimate, in order to secure your project in my schedule, a 30% deposit (or agreed-upon percentage) is required before work begins for new clients. Repeat clients will be invoiced upon project delivery with 15 days for payment.
What’s in it for you: A guaranteed place in my project queue and a formal project kickoff.
4. Discovery and Content Collection
You’ll receive a brief or checklist outlining the content, assets, and information I require to do the work.
For one off projects, submit your content the best way it works for you. For example, email us as much detail as possible. If you have multiple images, you can send them to us in a Google Drive or a similar way.
What’s in it for you: A streamlined way to share everything I need to create accurate, effective designs.
5. Design and Proofs
I’ll begin the design and provide you with initial concepts. Two rounds of revisions are typically included.
What’s in it for you: An opportunity to review, refine, and collaborate on the creative direction.
6. Final Approval
Once you’re happy with the design, I’ll prepare and deliver the final files (for print or digital use), or for web projects, we’ll proceed with testing and launch prep.
What’s in it for you: Professionally finalized materials that are ready to be used with confidence.
7. Final Invoice and Delivery
The remaining balance is due before the final files are released or the website goes live.
What’s in it for you: A smooth wrap-up with full access to your assets, knowing the project is complete.
8. Optional Support
Need future edits, new materials, or ongoing updates? I provide ongoing support to all my clients and provide storage for up to 3 years of their files. After that, files are usually outdated!
What’s in it for you: A go-to partner who understands your brand and is ready to help you grow.
